“I love the LORD, because He has heard my voice and my supplications.  Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” — Psalm 116:1, 2

The opening statement of this psalm is a good way to begin a song, a day, an event, or even a new life.  When we make a bold confession of our love for the Lord, it declares to others and our own heart that our spiritual walk comes from a place of deep conviction.

“I love the Lord because …” For the psalmist, it was because God had heard his voice.  He hears yours.  I love the Lord because … He has saved me, given me a beautiful family, given me a wonderful ministry, given me many friends, health, His Word and His Spirit.

This whole love thing didn’t even being with me — it began with Him!  Fill in the blank:  I love Him because _______.
